Legacy provides curriculum, educational tools, technology, resources, and support for parent-led homeschooling.
Parent Responsibility
The parent or legal guardian remains responsible for directing the child’s education, selecting the learning schedule and pace, supervising instruction, maintaining required records, arranging evaluations or testing when required, and complying with the homeschool laws and procedures that apply where the family lives.
State Requirements Vary
Homeschool requirements vary by state and can change. General information, checklists, templates, or links provided by Legacy are educational resources and are not legal advice. Families should confirm current requirements through their state education agency, local school district when applicable, or a qualified professional.
Grade Completion and Progression
Legacy may document completion of a curriculum level and provide learning recommendations. Legacy does not independently issue an official public-school grade placement, diploma, accreditation decision, or legal determination of promotion. A parent and, when applicable, a receiving school, evaluator, umbrella program, district, or state authority determines the documentation or placement required.
Returning to Another School
A public, private, charter, virtual, or other school may review records, assessments, age, credits, or placement criteria before accepting or placing a student. Legacy cannot guarantee how another institution will evaluate homeschool work.
Accreditation and Diplomas
Legacy should not be represented as accredited unless and until Legacy formally obtains and publicly identifies a recognized accreditation. K–5 membership does not include a high-school diploma.
Educational and Developmental Needs
Legacy is not a substitute for medical, psychological, special-education, therapeutic, or legal services. Parents should seek qualified professional support when a child has needs requiring evaluation or specialized services.
Third-Party Resources
Virtual field trips, external videos, linked resources, and third-party platforms may have separate terms, age recommendations, and privacy practices. Parents should review and supervise their child’s use.
