1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Legacy Prep Academy website, learning platform, memberships, curriculum, downloads, community features, or related services, you agree to these Terms of Use and the policies incorporated by reference.
2. What Legacy Provides
Legacy provides parent-led curriculum, educational tools, learning plans, assessments, progress information, resources, community features, and optional enrichment. Legacy is not a traditional school and does not replace the parent’s responsibility for directing the child’s education.
3. Parent and Guardian Responsibility
A parent or legal guardian must create and supervise the family account, select the child’s learning schedule and pace, monitor participation, make educational decisions, and comply with applicable homeschool requirements.
4. Account Eligibility and Security
Adults creating accounts must provide accurate information and protect login credentials. Accounts may not be shared outside the enrolled household unless Legacy gives written permission. Parents are responsible for activity occurring through their accounts.
5. Educational Content and Results
Legacy works to provide thoughtful, age-appropriate educational content, but individual learning results vary. Legacy does not guarantee a particular academic outcome, grade placement, school acceptance, test result, college admission, or career outcome.
6. Intellectual Property
The Legacy name, Legacy Parent-Led Learning System™, website design, curriculum, text, videos, graphics, downloads, dashboards, assessments, lesson plans, badges, trademarks, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Legacy and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
Membership grants a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license for personal educational use within the enrolled household. Materials may not be copied, resold, publicly posted, redistributed, recorded, scraped, used to train another product, or incorporated into another curriculum or commercial service without written permission.
7. Acceptable Use
- Do not interfere with platform security or attempt unauthorized access.
- Do not upload unlawful, harmful, infringing, or inappropriate content.
- Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent enrollment information.
- Do not use community features to harass, solicit, exploit, or endanger another user.
- Do not collect or publish another family’s personal information without permission.
8. Third-Party Content and Services
Legacy may link to or integrate third-party tools, videos, payment processors, virtual field trips, learning resources, or platforms. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Legacy is not responsible for content or services outside its reasonable control.
9. Community Features
Community participation is optional and may be subject to additional guidelines. Parents remain responsible for supervising children’s participation. Legacy may moderate, remove, restrict, or suspend content or accounts to protect families and the community.
10. Payments, Renewals, and Cancellations
Membership billing is governed by the Membership, Billing & Cancellation Terms presented at enrollment.
11. Suspension or Termination
Legacy may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, misuse, safety concerns, infringement, unlawful conduct, or material violation of these terms. Provisions relating to payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute resolution survive termination.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Legacy does not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free operation, compatibility with every device, or that all content will meet every family’s individual needs.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legacy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, opportunity, or educational outcomes arising from use of the services. Any direct liability will be limited to the amount paid to Legacy for the applicable service during the six months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, unless the law requires otherwise.
14. Indemnification
You agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these terms, infringement of another person’s rights, or unlawful conduct, to the extent permitted by law.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any required venue will be located in Florida unless applicable law provides otherwise.
16. Changes
Legacy may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated as required, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
