1. Information We Collect

We may collect information that a parent or guardian provides, including name, email address, telephone number, billing information, state, child profile information, grade level, learning preferences, completed lessons, assessments, progress, portfolio items, support requests, and communications.

We may also collect limited technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, and general usage information through cookies or similar technologies.

2. Children’s Information

Legacy serves families with children, including children under age 13. A parent or legal guardian must create and control the family account and authorize the collection and use of a child’s information for educational purposes.

We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to create independent accounts, purchase memberships, or provide personal information without parent or guardian involvement. We do not use children’s educational information for behavioral advertising.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide curriculum, learning plans, assessments, progress tracking, dashboards, records, and family resources.
• Process memberships, billing, account changes, and customer support requests.
• Personalize educational content and recommend review, practice, or advancement.
• Maintain account security, prevent misuse, and improve the Legacy experience.
• Send service-related messages and, when permitted, parent-facing educational or promotional communications.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. Service Providers

We may use third-party service providers for hosting, learning-platform services, payment processing, email delivery, customer relationship management, analytics, cloud storage, and technical support. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for Legacy and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.

Payment card information is processed by the selected payment processor and is not intended to be stored directly on the Legacy marketing website.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell children’s personal information. We may share information with service providers, when a parent directs us to do so, when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, during a business transaction, or when required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain educational records requested by the parent, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Parents may request deletion, subject to records we are legally permitted or required to retain.

7. Parent Rights and Choices

A parent or guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with the family account. Parents may also request that Legacy stop collecting or using a child’s personal information, although doing so may limit access to certain features.

Requests may be submitted through the Contact page. We may verify the requester’s identity and relationship to the child before completing a request.

8. Cookies and Analytics

Legacy may use essential cookies and, when activated, analytics or advertising technologies. More information appears in our Cookie Policy. Where required, visitors will be given appropriate notice or choices.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No online system can guarantee absolute security, and parents should use strong passwords and protect account credentials.

10. State and International Privacy Rights

Depending on where a family lives, additional privacy rights may apply. Legacy will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, technology, or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top of the page.
